This site is owned and operated by a former chef who developed serious heart problems that culminated in a quadruple heart bypass surgery in 2002. This nut dumped all the prescription drugs he was to take, supposedly for life, and replaced them with whole foods, supplements and exercise and is feeling better than ever.You can read the whole story here.

After my experience with cardiac problems and heart bypass surgery in 2002, I became very interested in ways to maintain good health through natural means, without using the prescription drugs that I have been told by doctors I must use. I think I have succeeded at this; the why and how are described in a little series of articles and updates titled "How I almost Left my Heart in San Francisco"; if you wish to see those, you can go to the beginning of the series, where you will be able to follow the entire story. I really believe that you can stay healthy without using FDA-approved prescription garbage, just eating right, excercising, using food supplements and avoiding things that pollute your body or otherwise cause harm. That is what this Timos site is all about. But I am not a fanatic about it. You can't teach an old pig new tricks. I will continue to eat my red meat, drink my wine and puff on a good Havana, go to great restaurants, all in moderation - these are the subjects we deal with in the new Webgourmand site.
